Project: Crochet Rilakkuma Bear

Many, many months ago, one of my co-workers had requested an Elmo amigurumi, but I never actually got around to it because I didn't like Elmo and didn't think he was that cute (sorry Elmo fans!!). So, in the end, she chose an alternative: a Rilakkuma Bear.

Here's how he turned out:

Pretty cute? He's only about 3 inches tall, so he was very travel friendly. I was able to make him fairly quickly since bears are actually pretty easy for me now. The only tedious part is attaching all those appendages and ears.

Project: Felted Deer

My first patterned felt doll. This was from Felt Friends from Japan by Naomi Tabatha.

Felt dolls are really time consuming when made by hand. If I ever make another felt doll, I think I would like to try it by machine. Hope you like it!!

It's been a long time..

So I haven't been updating in a while because I've had a ton of things going on in the last three months. I will not bore you all with the details, but the good new is I'm back and will shortly post up some new projects that I completed during that time frame!

Stay tuned!!

Project: Crochet Sanji (One Piece)

Hi everyone!

I've been meaning to update this. About a week or so ago, I finished Sanji from One Piece! It has been about a year since I made Luffy, but he finally has a companion now! :)

If you noticed, I've been having some issues with the lighting. Now that I live with at a new place, the lighting isn't as abundant as my previous house. Sooo.. taking pictures is much harder to do. :( And yes, Luffy's head is bigger than Sanji's. I never wrote down any of my patterns, so I forgot... Whoops!! Guess I should start writing them down... or maybe I should remake Luffy?

Anyway, since I'm stuck at home because of Hurricane Irene, I have time to get some crafting (and updating) done this weekend. Considering the MTA suspended all trains and buses, maybe we won't have work this Monday if we're lucky! Just kidding. I have a million things to do at work.. Looks like I'll have to work from home if anything. :(

I hope everyone stays safe and dry this weekend!

Project: Crochet King Panda

Hi everyone!

I know it has been a while, but I have finally finished up a project that I have been working on for the past, uh... say 6 months or so?? Yes, I know. I am the biggest procrastinator ever.

Anyways! This was originally requested (with crown and all) by my sister Janet. For some reason or another, I was having a tough time with his appendages. Either it was too big, too small, or too round - I just couldn't get it right! I pretty much just gave up and kept him around for a while until one day I decided to give it another go.

And what do you know.... Success!!

Here's a side view of him.

So... whenever you get stumped with one of your projects, just keep trying!!! Eventually you'll get it. Don't be afraid to put it down. Just make sure you return to it! :)

I hope you like him!

Project: Crochet Jiggly puff!!

Waaaay overdue on an update!!

So the last time I tried to update, Blogger was being uncooperative. For a whole week. I gave up. That was back in the beginning of January. Yikes! Where has time gone??

Anyway, to not disappoint, I have been working on a few projects since I've been done with my semester. (In case you were wondering, I was done late December and got A's on both of my classes!!) So, during break, one of my friends asked me to make Jigglypuff and of course, I said yes.

Here's how Jigglypuff came out!

Perfect, if I dare say so myself!

Love it? Hate it? Let me know! I rarely ever get comments, so my blog is feeling mighty lonely. Show it some love and leave me some comments! Thanks!
